After a long weekend of good food, good teaching, good fires & good times Bethanie is beginning to slow down the pace … February heart2bless saw people from Stafford, Falmouth, Chelmsford, Stourbridge, Livarot, Caen & The Netherlands come together for the prayer weekend LOVE EUROPE.
It was an amazing time and we are so thankful to everyone who joined us and made it what it was.
Our next heart2bless weekend is 16th - 18th March. It will explore what missional leadership may look like for emerging cultures of 21st century Europe.

This week has been full of building, burning and painting here at Bethanie. We have built a brand new wood store for all our future wood needs. We used 100% found things to make it. We have cleared out the hermitage and found tonnes of old corrugated iron and a climbing frame. We have re-dug the fire pit and cleaned it out and a crew from Stafford have been painting the Farm House so we can use it as a gallery space soon. Finally we have cleaned out the chicken shed and re sorted the tool shed.
Bex has been cooking some quality food.
Now we have a heart2bless weekend to sort out. People are arriving today and we are EXCITED if not a little tired.

It is short notice but our next heart2bless will be at Bethanie Friday 8th - Sunday 10th October entitled Working the Land. The idea of our h2b weekend stays at Bethanie are to equip you to pray for Europe and will inspire you to bless others through prayer. Whilst giving you the opportunity to work on the Bethanie landscape - getting the paint out, finding soil in your finger nails and feeding the chickens.

With an international team assembled we headed to La Source baptist church in Lisieux. Our task to lay a new concrete floor for a new youthspace.
We set about clearing the youthspace friday morning after morning prayers & coffee. We cleared the area in no time and quickly moved in with spades, picks and wheelbarrows to level the land.
2 hours later we had lost hope… the concrete wasn’t breaking up and although we’d shifted dozens and dozens of wheelbarrows of rubble it looked like we hadn’t made a start…
After lunch and more prayers the cavalry arrived in the shape of Marcel (a 75 year old french builder) and a pneumatic drill. By five thirty, we’d broke up the concrete, levelled the land and layed down plastic, polystyrene and reinforced metal bars!
We arrived after prayers on day two to find Marcel firing up two cement mixers. After a quick briefing in broken french we started making cement. One mix too dry, a couple WAY to wet and a spilt wheelbarrow later and we’d got cement down to a fine art.
As the light faded we layed down our tools and admired the completed floor. What a transformation! Only 8 days till we can walk on it…
